Spandanam means heartbeat — and this library is the reading heartbeat of Edavannappara village.
Spandanam is a village library in Edavannappara, Malappuram district, Kerala. It is more than a place to read books — it is a study room for children, a discussion space for young people, and the cultural centre of the village.

History
Following the great tradition of Kerala's library movement, Spandanam was born out of the collective effort of the villagers. Starting from a small collection of books, it has grown into an institution with thousands of books and a lively community of readers.
